They decided to charge devices wirelessly inside the car while still powering the car with gasoline and oil, whether through the oil burned to supply electric to your house for the Chevy Volt or gasoline at the pump. This method is still half ass and in efficient like american governments lack of investing into truly novel technology. What About Using the Powermat Technology by building an entire Vehicle Frame out of a giant PowerMat that will be Sprayed with Spray on Solar absorbing Paint which would absorb sunlight while instataneously transfering that electromagnetic energy from the sun into the spray on solar paint into the new PowerMat Car from which would power a Air Compressed motor from France and the PhotoChromic Chemicals used in Transition Lenses could be added into the Solar absorbing paint so that when ever the sun hits the new Solar absorbing painted power mat car frame, the Photo Chromic chemicals will react to the electromagnetic sunlight and immediately change the entire car frames color which is not only really cool, eco efficient, but also lets you know that the technologies are working together simutaneously..

They should put something like this in the Cruze too, not just limit it to the Volt.
