We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to talk with Ford CEO Alan Mulally, about the current lineup of cars and the technology that goes into them. Check out the video after the jump.

Mr. Mulally has the unique honor of being CEO of Ford during the recession, and Ford was the only company that didn’t need a government loan (like GM had). Perhaps this is due to Alan’s background as an engineer in Boeing in the 60′s. He went on to become the CEO of Boeing, and is in fact considered to be one of the major reasons that Boeing was able to compete with Airbus. Mr. Mulally had quite a bit to say about the MyFord technology, the current car line up, and some hints about the future of Ford.

I know that you guys don’t really want to sit through an hour or painful music, hyperbole, and Ballmer, so I’ve taken the highlights from Microsoft’s big CES moment, and put them into easily-digestible blog form. Ain’t I sweet?

We’ve already covered the Xbox highlights, Windows Phone 7 highglights, and Surface highlights, so now it’s time for trusty ol’ Windows to get a post.

Jump on through the break for all the highlights.

Samsung announced five new digital cameras today, and while we have specs on all of them, we don’t have pictures. I sincerely hope that everyone can see the irony of a press release about cameras without pictures. We will be visiting Samsung’s booth on the floor, so we’ll see if we can actually show you the other Dualview cameras over the next few days.

Worlize is an odd duck. It’s a virtual world that allows you to move avatars into scenes of your own making and promises fun and games for kids of all ages. We saw it run last night at Start Up Debut and came back impressed if a little skeptical. But who doesn’t want to be a blob?

We had a few minutes to talk with YouMail about their voicemail app for Blackberry, Android, and iOS. Youmail essentially replaces your voicemail service with one click and gives you rich graphical representations of your calls and stores them in the cloud. Take a gander at our brief interview.

This odd little speaker, and it’s improved “slim” cousin, allows you to create large, bass-rich sound out of speaker the size of a pack of cards. The device uses the resonance of wooden and glass walls and objects to add considerable depth to music output. The device is available now for $79 and a smaller Slim version is coming out this Spring.
