You plug one half into one computer, and one into another, and if all goes well, an encrypted connection is created between them (via the internet, not directly), letting you share files securely.

At the risk of this sounding like a plug, I’m glad to see these things are hitting the streets, though $99 will be above the casual user’s budget when a plain USB drive accomplishes the same thing with a little more effort. DropBox and similar services also pose a challencge.

They’re working on a Mac version so you can share files across platforms. They also added a disable code in case you lose one half, though you can also just unplug one half of the device. Hopefully we’ll get one of these for review soon, and can evaluate it on ease of use, build, and so on.

And the guns look badass.

The guns are currently unpriced but will be available in March of this year.

Nyko Technologies®, the leading videogame peripherals manufacturer, today debuted its full lineup of new products at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 in Las Vegas. In addition to the previously announced Raven controllers for PS3 and Charge Stations for Move, the following lineup of brand new videogame accessories will be on display for exclusive hands-on demo:

Power Shot for Move
The Power Shot for PlayStation® Move is an ergonomic tactical rifle attachment. The Move Motion and Navigation controllers easily lock into place for a comfortable grip that provides for accurate trigger response and aiming. The removable and rotating Navigation Controller dock allows the player to hold the Power Shot in various configurations, making it ideal for left and right handed gamers. The tactile trigger replicates the Motion Controller button for smooth firing and the aiming sight increases the player’s accuracy. The Power Shot also features an extendable stock, allowing for utmost stability and precision during intense action games.

The Power Shot will be available at select retail stores nationwide in March 2011.

Perfect Shot for Move
A traditional one handed pistol-like grip for PlayStation® Move, the new Perfect Shot is the ideal shooting attachment for games that only require the Motion controller. Featuring a grooved dock into which the Motion Controller slides into place, the Perfect Shot is designed to be lightweight and ergonomic for comfortable one handed play. Vibration support provides force feedback with each trigger pull. The peripheral’s shape affords unobstructed line of sight for the Motion controller glowing ball, thus allowing accurate and uninterrupted motion tracking.

The Perfect Shot for Move, available in a black and orange color scheme, will be sold at select retail stores nationwide in March 2011.

Perfect Shot Pro
The descendant of the original Perfect Shot for Wii, one of Nyko’s best-selling products of all time, the new Perfect Shot Pro for Wii is the refined evolution of the original Perfect Shot. The Perfect Shot Pro now features vibration support to provide force feedback with each pull of the trigger. The Perfect Shot Pro is the ideal peripheral for all shooting games on the Wii and comfortably houses a Wii controller. The tactile trigger activates the “B” button and an aiming sight improves player accuracy.

The Perfect Shot Pro for Wii, available in white, black and orange, and a new digital camo color scheme will be available at stores nationwide in April 2011 and will retail for an MSRP of $19.99.

Intercooler STS
Utilize Nyko’s cutting edge TempSmart™ technology to keep your Xbox 360 S console running at optimal environmental conditions with the Intercooler STS. The Intercooler STS provides increased airflow away from the Xbox 360 S, which allows the console to perform in a cooler, better ventilated environment, ideal for cramped entrainment centers. TempSmart technology automatically powers the Intercooler STS’ fans on or off when needed, and continues to cool the console even after the system has been powered down. The Intercooler STS is powered by one of the Xbox’s USB ports and requires no batteries or AC adapters. The slick new “scoop” design blends seamlessly with the design of the Xbox 360 S console and works in both the horizontal and vertical positions.

The Intercooler STS will be available at select retail stores nationwide in February 2011 and will retail for an MSRP of $19.99.

Charge Base S
The new Charge Base S for Xbox 360 is a refresh of another one of Nyko’s most popular products of all time. With a sleek redesign, the Charge Base S is a storage and charging dock for two Xbox 360 wireless controllers. The Charge Base S patented design features two custom NiMH rechargeable batteries that feature special contact points, allowing for an easy drop-in and charge solution. The dual port recharging dock is AC powered and plugs into any standard outlet. Each rechargeable battery powers the wireless controller for up to 25 hours and charges in about 2 hours. A hidden LED indicator on the Charge Base S illuminates when in use and indicates battery charge status.

The Charge Base S also features an additional new powered USB port, ideal for charging an additional controller, cell phone, iPod or other USB device.

The Charge Base S will be available at retail stores nationwide in March 2011 and will retail for an MSRP of $24.99.

“Each year we look forward to debuting our new product line at CES and we’re proud to be back again with something new for each console,” said Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies. “We’re seeing an extended console lifecycle this generation and so our new product line this year is a combination of brand new products and evolved versions of our most popular accessories from the current console generation.”

Monster recently got into the headphone market when they slapped Dr. Dre’s name on some cans called Beats. They were very popular, became super popular and spawned off many other versions, some cheaper, some not so.

It appears that combining well known and relevant names to their products is Monster’s KO. That notion is to be expanded on for 2011 with their new earphones.

Miles Davis, the man who birthed cool, will have his name on a new new of earbuds named Trumpet. These little guys expand on the previous Miles Davis headphones the Tribute. The plugs come with Miles’ album Sketches of Spain, which was remixed and remastered into Monster’s new High Definition Stereo and High Definition Surround Sound.

iPhone controls are cleverly placed on the cord and look like trumpet valves.

Price is going to be $349.99, which might seem a bit pricey, but hey, it’s Monster. Let’s just hope it’s worth the price, and that we’ll have to let you know about later. Look for them in February.

Las Vegas, NV, January 5, 2011 — Monster, renowned for its many advanced consumer electronics accessories and fast becoming one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high- performance headphones, is proud to announce the debut of the “Miles Davis Trumpet” high- performance in-ear headphones (SRP: $349). Like Monster’s acclaimed “Miles Davis TributeTM” high-performance in-ear headphones (SRP: $499.95), the new Miles Davis Trumpet headphones were created in conjunction with Miles Davis Properties, LLC. They are being offered in a specially packaged set along with the seminal Miles Davis album “Sketches of Spain” in a specially remixed and remastered version in Monster High Definition Stereo (HDS) and High Definition Surround Sound, specially engineered to capture the music’s true harmonic depth and resonant tonal characteristics. The release of Monster’s Miles Davis Trumpet headphones coincides with the upcoming 40the anniversary Collector’s Edition of Davis’ Bitches Brew Live in February 2011.

World’s Smallest Drivers and Reference-Quality Audio Performance

The new Miles Davis Trumpet headphones feature a uniquely jazz-inspired style, with aesthetic cues taken from Miles’ trumpet itself, including mouthpiece shaped earpieces and a striking gold/brass finish, with a Miles Davis silhouette and etched signature on the cord. The headphones also come with a special magnifier that allows users to better see the miniature laser-etched Miles Davis signature and Monster logo on the trumpet housing.

Designed in every way to be as revolutionary as the iconic musician, Miles Davis Trumpet headphones are precision-tuned to reproduce the subtle nuances and unique acoustic tones of jazz. Most notably, they feature the world’s smallest drivers. Their reference-quality audio is made possible thanks to key Monster innovations, including a new design that allows the earpiece to rest more comfortably and deeper within the wearer’s ear canal, enabling a perfect fit, superior isolation and ultimate performance, so all music can be heard with exceptional clarity and presence.

Miles Davis Trumpet headphones are being made available with the Monster ControlTalkTM headphone cable*, which can be used with iPhoneTM and iPod® for music playback control as well as to take hands-free calls with iPhone and many smartphones. The specially created Miles Davis Trumpet ControlTalk on-cable box, customized to resemble the three piston valves of a

trumpet, features an integrated high-grade microphone and answer button and allows users to access their music and answer phone calls without having to reach into their pocketbook, backpack or pocket.

Unique One-Time Limited Lifetime Replacement Guarantee

Notably, Miles Davis Trumpet headphones come with the industry’s most unique guarantee. In addition to the warranty on manufacturer defects, Monster is offering a one-time Limited Lifetime Replacement Guarantee with Miles Davis Trumpet headphones – even if users accidentally break the headphones themselves, Monster will replace them once for no charge.

Head Monster Noel Lee noted: “Everything about Miles Davis was revolutionary, from his uniquely personal music to his style, attitude and artistic integrity, and his contribution to the art of music cannot be understated. Last year, with the debut of our Miles Davis Tribute headphones, our goal was to elevate the personal music listening experience with a product capable of reproducing the many subtle shadings and dynamics of all types of music. Now, with Miles Davis Trumpet headphones, we’ve taken our admiration and respect to for this iconic artist to the next level, combined a proprietary new design that features the world’s smallest drivers and other significant engineering improvements. Miles Davis Trumpet headphones are more than merely a deliver on this promise with a richness of unprecedented audio detail and sonic virtuosity.”

In addition, Miles Davis Trumpet headphones come with Monster’s new high performance foam “SuperTipTM” eartips that offer superior noise isolation, while improving the overall performance by preventing sound leakage. The key to the effectiveness of SuperTip eartips is a patent- pending engineered material that provides a secure custom seal to help eliminate unwanted noise. The end result is astoundingly clean, tight audio response and great-sounding music that can be listened to without fatigue for hours and hours.

Finally, Monster’s innovative cable management system features a convenient designed on- cable slider and clip that keeps weight off the headphones so they stay snug in the user’s ears. The debut of Monster Miles Davis Trumpet headphones is part of the company’s ongoing commitment to improve the quality of the portable audio experience.

Smartfish Announces Availability of the World’s Most Intelligent Keyboard
Engage™ Keyboard with Anti-Fatigue Comfort Motion learns from how you type and automatically makes subtle adjustments to create the most comfortable computing experience ever
2011 Best of Innovations Honoree on display at CES – North Hall #4022
Englewood, NJ – January 4, 2011 – SmartFish Technologies is proud to announce the immediate availability of the Engage Keyboard, the first-ever automated keyboard designed to provide the user with the ultimate comfort typing experience. Unlike traditional keyboards that place your hands in a rigid position, the Engage Keyboard features a patented motion system that studies your typing frequency and makes subtle, comfortable adjustments periodically so your hands and wrists are never in a fixed position while you work. These changes in positioning promote the natural motion of your hands and wrists, providing the highest level of comfort possible. The intuitive and beautiful design of the keyboard allows users to immediately become an expert and enjoy the ultimate level of comfort in their computing experience.
“Most so-called ‘comfort products’ tend to differentiate themselves through radical forms and shapes, but they still limit movement by placing the hands and wrists in a static position.” said Dr. Jack Atzmon, President and CEO of Smartfish Technologies. “Engage ensures movement in the user’s typing experience which is crucial for increasing flexibility, circulation and alleviating stress and pain.”
The Engage Keyboard was developed in collaboration with the country’s leading Orthopedic Hospital, The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, whose mission statement is to “improve mobility and the quality of life for all.” This is the Hospital’s first collaboration on a consumer product in their 160-year history. A portion of our proceeds is donated to the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Education Fund to help further research of technologies. (www.hss.edu)
The Engage Keyboard is compatible with PCs and is available now from www.getsmartfish.com for $149.95.

The glasses, called the Tomorrow, contain most of the electronics in the ear pieces, which ensures comfort and near weightlessness. Glad that’s been solved.
