Showstoppers, like Unveiled and Digital Experience, is a peripheral show to CES but it offers close hands-ons with lots of great gear. Here is the huge mass of videos we’ve collected and we’ll pop out items that made us smile.

We’ve been excited about the Orbitix Sphero for a while now and we just got a little time to roll this odd little ball around CES. It’s quite cute and the iPhone UI is amazing. Check out our take, below.

We saw the new Surface twice yesterday, but getting shots of it turned out to be a bit difficult, and if you wanted to see video, you had to skip through the live stream of Ballmer talking about Zunes and Kinect sales (fun as that was). But they’ve gotten official with a video and a bunch of official photos, so feast your eyes on the new Surface.

Sony just released three new laptops with a more value-concious buyer in mind. The S Series, for example, has a 1-inch depth and gets 7 hours on one charge while the VB series has a backlit keyboard and thinner styling.

The real monster is the 3D capable F series. It has an Core i7 processor and a 1080p screen. We have full press releases and we’ll have a livestream shortly.

Someone sneaked past security and took a picture of something called Avatar Kinect, a system for XBox Live avatar interaction in a separate “chat room” where players talk to each other outside of the games. Considering the 3D scanning capabilities of the Kinect, it’s a pretty cool idea.

Vizio might just be the next big consumer electronic’s company with a set of announcements that should make the rest of the industry take notice. The company has long been a top player in the US domestic LCD wars and seems to be set to utilize their brand with a host of new software and hardware options.

VIA Plus: Think the video transporting features of Apple’s AirPlay but instead of iOS devices, this service will hit Vizio products including the just-announced Android VIA Tablet and VIA Phone. According to the short press release, consumers will be able to start watching content on one device and then pick up on another. How? No idea. The techy details will no doubt flow once Vizio’s CES showing gets underway although the presser does make mention that the devices will share a common user interface as shown in the pic above.

The newest Vizio hardware isn’t just limited to the 8-inch tablet or 4-inch phone, though. Just like the rumormill stated a few weeks back, Vizio has at least one upcoming Google TV model. Once again, the details are nonexistent, but the GTV is clearly mentioned in the VIA Plus announcement. CES, here we come!
